What's changing: Coda becomes Logamail Docs

No. Coda is now Logamail Docs — the product you know is still here, just under a new name. All of your docs, workflows, tables, Packs, automations, and formulas continue to work as before. This is an evolution, not a replacement.

The name, the URL, and the visual design have changed. We've also introduced exciting new features and capabilities. But everything you've built remains the same.

All your docs, data, automations, Packs, and formulas work just as they always have. The refreshed design (new font, icons, and illustrations) is the most visible change, but no features have been removed, and all the same building blocks are where you'd expect them.

Logamail Docs is now part of Logamail alongside Grammarly, Mail, and Go. The new name reflects where the product is headed: a collaborative surface built specifically for teams and AI to work together. Everything you've built in Coda comes with you.

docs.logamail.com is the new home for Logamail Docs. Your docs all work the same — you're just accessing them at a new address. Existing coda.io links automatically redirect, so you don't need to update anything you've already shared.

The product has a refreshed visual design: a new custom font (designed to make reading and writing feel great out of the box), updated icons, new illustrations, and a cleaner overall aesthetic. The layout and navigation remain familiar, with all the same building blocks and menus where you'd expect them.

Table pages are a new way to create tables in your docs. Instead of inserting a table within a page alongside text and other content, a table page gives your table its own dedicated full-page home. This means more room to work, bulk edit, and manage structured data without the surrounding canvas getting in the way. Learn how to create table pages here.

You can still create tables the traditional way; table pages are an additional option.

The table creation experience has a new look. When you create a new table, the setup menu now appears in the right-hand panel (previously it was a crowded pop-up in the center of the page).

The shift to the right panel increases the available real estate during this important moment in your workflow. The forward-looking design allows for more options when creating tables, including:

• Easier Cross-doc setup: rather than having to go through a separate process, you can set up Cross-doc tables directly in this table creation flow.
• AI-assisted table creation: an AI prompt appears when you create a new table, so you can describe what you want to build and have it set up for you.

Yes. A new Logamail Docs desktop app for Mac is available starting July 8. The desktop app has near-identical functionality to the web version, including support for tabbed docs. A Windows version is in development and will be available later this year.

The Coda mobile app is being updated and rebranded as Logamail Docs. On July 8, you'll be prompted to update the app, or it will update automatically if you have auto-updates enabled.

After updating, you'll see a refreshed look consistent with the rest of the product. You may be prompted to sign in again using the new shared Logamail login — your existing Coda credentials will work.

The App Store listing will update from "Coda" to "Logamail Docs," but you can still find it by searching "Coda."

Yes. All existing coda.io doc links will automatically redirect to docs.logamail.com. You don't need to update any links you've already shared.

Yes. All previously published docs and maker profiles will be accessible at docs.logamail.com/@profile, as well as from their original coda.io URL.

Note: as of July 8, publishing new docs to the Coda gallery is no longer available. You can still publish docs — they just won't appear in the gallery going forward. Learn more here.

Possibly. If you've configured any apps to allow embedding from coda.io — or to allow showing embeds of coda.io content — you'll also need to allow docs.logamail.com. This applies in both directions:

• Embedding other apps in your docs: Apps you've configured to allow embedding from coda.io will need to also allow docs.logamail.com.
• Embedding your docs in other apps: Apps you've configured to display coda.io embeds will need to also allow docs.logamail.com.

Yes. Existing API endpoints (such as https://coda.io/apis/v1/docs) will continue to work without any changes to support existing integrations. API requests from docs.logamail.com endpoints will also be accepted.

One thing to note: links returned in browserLink fields will update to use the docs.logamail.com domain.

The Coda Bot for Slack has been rebranded to Logamail Docs for Slack. As part of this name change, you may need to disconnect from this app and reconnect to the rebranded version, especially if you notice issues with Logamail Docs links no longer unfurling in Slack.

Note that if your Slack org manages which apps you can connect to in Slack, you will need to contact your Slack admin to approve the reinstallation of the Logamail Docs for Slack.

Yes. You don't need to make any changes to your SSO or SCIM implementation. Existing group configurations, including Google Groups, will continue to work.

Yes. If your DLP tools are configured to allow coda.io, you'll need to also allow docs.logamail.com. Third-party data loss prevention tools that restrict actions like copying content or uploading files to approved domains will need to be updated to include the new domain.

Yes. Any browser-specific settings tied to coda.io, such as allowing pop-ups, will need to be re-applied for docs.logamail.com.

No. Your existing plan, pricing, and billing remain exactly the same. The launch of Logamail Docs doesn't affect your current subscription in any way.

No, upgrading is optional. You can stay on your current Docs plan at your current price — that option isn't going away. If you do choose to upgrade, you'll gain access to the full Logamail suite (Docs + Mail + Grammarly + Go). Learn more at logamail.com/plans.

Not automatically — you need to opt in. Existing Docs users can connect their workspace to a Logamail bundle, but this isn't done for you. If you're interested, you can explore your options at logamail.com/plans.

If you don't make any changes to your plan, you will remain on your current tier. But if you choose to upgrade to the bundle:

• Coda Pro is equivalent to Logamail Pro
• Coda Team is equivalent to Logamail Business

You can compare pricing at logamail.com/plans and coda.io/pricing. When switching, any amount you've already paid toward your current billing period is taken into account — you'll see exactly what's due (if anything) on the checkout screen.

It depends on your workspace's eligibility. If your workspace is eligible for the bundle, upgrading your Docs plan will automatically move you to the equivalent Logamail plan — you won't be able to upgrade Docs a la carte. If your workspace isn't eligible, you'll follow the standard Docs upgrade flow as before. All of this is handled automatically in the product. Yes. Existing users can stay on their current Docs plan at their current price. For new customers, Docs is available as part of the Logamail bundle.

Not currently; it isn't possible to merge Coda/Docs workspaces at this time. If you'd like to consolidate, you can manually move docs from one workspace to another.

Existing discounts (student, teacher, nonprofit, and referral credits) can continue to be applied toward your a la carte Docs subscription. These discounts cannot be applied toward a Logamail bundle.

While there are certain Packs automatically included in the different tiers of the Logamail bundle (just like with Coda subscriptions), the bundle does not currently support a la carte Pack subscriptions. If you're planning to upgrade to the bundle, you'll need to remove any paid Packs from your docs and unsubscribe from them before upgrading. If you wish to continue your individual Pack subscriptions, you will need to remain on your current a la carte Docs plan.

If your workspace has been upgraded to the Logamail bundle, your bundle billing (from the upgrade onward) is managed in Logamail. For prior Coda billing history and invoices, please contact our support team.

Docs AI is our AI assistant built directly into your docs. Unlike the previous AI features — which focused on specific tasks like writing assistance in AI blocks or formula generation in AI columns — Docs AI is a full chat interface that can take action across your entire doc. It can draft content, build and update tables, organize data, resolve comments, and more, all from a single chat panel. It understands everything your team has built, and can act on it.

AI columns and AI blocks still exist and have been improved. Docs AI works alongside them, not instead of them.

While Docs AI is in beta, anyone can try it. Free users and editors have access to a generous free allowance. Paid Doc Makers have access to Docs AI with high limits, subject to fair use policies. We're exploring how Docs AI will be monetized once it exits beta, and your usage and feedback will help inform that.

The existing AI credit system is being paused as of July 8 as we transition to Docs AI. Any unused credit balance will be honored — you won't lose what you paid for. Paid Makers get generous Docs AI access during the beta, which is designed to be more than what credits previously provided. For specific questions about your credit balance, please contact our support team.

Enterprise admins can manage AI access for their organization — including turning AI off for select workspaces. Learn more here.

For non-Enterprise workspaces, it isn't possible to turn Docs AI off entirely, though you can simply opt not to use it. If AI controls are important to your team, contact us to discuss whether an Enterprise plan makes sense.

The Logamail Docs MCP (formerly known as "Coda MCP") connects Logamail Docs to the AI tools your team already uses — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and others. It lets you ask questions, request updates, and build inside your docs directly from your preferred AI tool, with changes reflected in Docs in real time. Think of it as making Docs the home base for all the AI work your team does, regardless of which tool they're using.

AI Views are AI-generated custom views for your tables. Instead of choosing from Docs' built-in view types (grids, calendars, cards, charts, etc.), you describe what you want, and Docs builds it on top of your live table data. A seating chart, a heatmap, a leaderboard — if you can describe it, AI Views can build it. When data updates, those changes flow through to every other view in your doc. AI Views are currently in private beta.

Logamail Databases are a new, standalone data product designed for teams whose data needs have outgrown what doc tables can handle. A Database can hold up to a million rows, connect to multiple docs simultaneously, and manage data permissions separately from doc permissions — so the right people see the right data, no matter which doc they're in.

Your existing tables are a building block inside a doc. They're great for lightweight to moderate data needs. Databases are a separate product built from the ground up for scale. Rather than each doc owning its own local data, a Database lives independently and syncs into any doc that needs it — making it a true single source of truth for your organization.
